Swedish nouns are either common or neuter. (There are no distinct masculine or feminine forms)

It's easy to tell if a noun is neuter or common from the word database.
If the definite form ends in -t or -et it is neuter.
If it ends in -n, -an or -en it is common.
For example, look up table and you get the Swedish word "bord". Look up "bord" and you find bord -et
Bord is neuter.
Look up flower (blomma) and you find blomma -n
Blomma is common.
