  That "high school" corresponds to "gymnasium" is not true. It+s a six-year secondary school that follows a six-year grade or elementary school. It´s only the last three years (senior h.s.) that is similar to Sw. gymnasium. "Junior high school" corresponds to "högstadiet" or whatever you call it these days!
