Extra seats to compensate biased distribution of Riksdag seats after a Swedish general election. The Swedish proportional system implies that a representation in the Parliament should reflect the nationwide percentage of the election. Surplus votes due to threshold values from different electoral areas are summed and thus compensation seats are created.
